during my november hiatus, something cool happened when dr. drew found and read the potentially inappropriate love letter i wrote to him. in addition to that, something… interesting happened when one of the members of the group Highland Place Mobsters saw that he and his homies made my list of ‘obscure r&b covers.’
that’s pretty cool. i mean i kind of question it, given his history of hard to decipher, slightly asinine tweet philosophising, but it’s your money. do what you will with it.
something you should know, though.. for Tyrese, “staying out of your own way” apparently means stalking your baby’s mother and sleeping in your car in front of her place all night. yeah, that happened. last night, actually.
with all the hoopla and hullabaloo and rigamarole surrounding Keri Hilson’s latest video, “The Way You Love Me,” which has gotten an incredible amount of bad press due to its hyper sexual images and lyrics. i met Keri’s vagina in the sun room of her mansion, where she sat in a recliner wrapped in a neck brace, sipping a cup of chamomile tea.
okay, i know i’m not supposed to be here, but. i just have to share these videos.
"tee hee! bring it, bitch!"
if you know your way around the Internets, then you’ve probably heard that Will Smith’s daughter, Willow, has been making music in between serving bitches with her mohawk game. and speaking of her hair, and her music, choreography for her song ‘whip my hair’ hit the internets all up in the face this week. when i saw how crazy my twitter timeline was going under the weight of it all, i knew that i HAD to get this story. so after a lot of work and a few bribes, i managed to score a quick interview with Willow herself to get the inside scoop on the song and what’s next for her and her music career.
ARE YOU SERIOUS
IM SO EXCITED THAT I MIGHT DIE!!
IT’S SO FLUFFYYYYY!!
first things first: if you haven’t seen 50 Tyson at all, then you clearly haven’t been reading Splackavellie Central. SHAME ON YOU.
50 Tyson is a kid from Minnesota who wants to be a rapper or already fashions himself a rapper and has put several videos of him freestyling on youtube (click the link above to get you a taste). recently, the internets discovered that he’s not just a rapper… he’s a crooner, too.
but wait! it gets weirder!

remember their song “Your Love is a 187?”
am i the ONLY one who thinks this song sucked, in retrospect?? i tweeted about it and everybody came rushing to their defense! is it a nostalgia thing? it HAS to be a nostalgia thing. that song is straight up 4 minutes of horrendous metaphors, featuring:
- “You’re like a gangstress of love/so baby come and put a hit on me”
- “Baby you can pump like a gauge/or go faster than an automatic tec”
- “I’m yearnin’ for your 187/baby drop the bomb on me”
what kind of aural crack did they put in this song to make people like it??
check out the rest of the song discussion here, and please drop a line or two and let me know if i’m crazy, or if it’s everybody else that’s crazy. (it’s usually the latter.)

then get ready to love me and thank the homie Young H at Go In Radio!
he in all his glorious, giving goodness tweeted some stuff by the Terrence Blanchard Group that included a jazzed up version of Bilal’s fantastamzing ‘When Will You Call.’ is it better than the original? is anything ever better than the original? it’s really good though, and i just had to share it in the event that any other Bilal fans may see/hear it. listen/download here.
since listening to that version will probably make you want to hear the original, you can listen to that here.
